Rev Datuk Ng Moon Hing
Bishop Moon Hing is a passionate missioner and church planter. While he was the Vicar of St Peter’s Ipoh, he planted about 50 congregations which some later became parishes. While he was the 4th Bishop of West Malaysia over a period of 13 years, he initiated and helped to plant another 50 churches throughout the Diocese. He was also the 5th Archbishop of the Province of South East Asia.
Rev Canon John Ganapathy
Rev. Canon John Ganapathy is the Diocese missioner since 2003. Prior to this, he was the Vicar of St. Andrew’s Church at Parit Buntar, Perak, where almost all the church members were former Hindus. During his early years of pastoral leadership, he found his fervour to plant churches and the passion for evangelism. He carried out evangelistic meetings where thousands attended. Rev John has since planted five churches and started two Anglican Prayer Towers in Subang Jaya and Ipoh. In 1995, he started his overseas mission to conduct prayer and healing rallies. His recent evangelistic rally prior to the COVID-19 pandemic was in India where more than 50,000 people attended and responded to the gospel.
Rev Canon Fred David
Canon Fred worked cross-culturally for more than 27 years in the island of Borneo. He was the Principal of the School of Evangelism and Church planting in the Diocese of Sabah. Together with his team, he planted more than 100 churches. His passion is to see lives transformed for Christ. Because of this, he continues to help churches in East Asia in church planting, evangelism and intentional discipleship. He is currently the Senior Pastor of a new church plant in the city of Kuala Lumpur.
This webinar was jointly organised by Seminari Theoloji Malaysia and PlantAnglican, the Anglican Communion Church Planting Network.
